Job Summary:
The Middle School Assistant Principal supports the Principal in providing leadership, supervision, and administration of the school’s educational program. This role focuses on fostering a safe, positive, and academically rigorous learning environment while supporting staff, students, and families. The Assistant Principal helps oversee daily operations, student discipline, instructional programs, and school culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Principal in managing the overall operations of the school
Support and evaluate instructional programs to ensure high-quality teaching and learning
Promote a positive school climate focused on respect, safety, and student achievement
Oversee student discipline, attendance, and behavior management systems
Collaborate with teachers to improve instructional practices and student outcomes
Participate in staff supervision, evaluation, and professional development
Coordinate school activities, schedules, and events
Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, staff, and community members
Ensure compliance with district policies, state regulations, and safety procedures
Analyze student data to inform decision-making and school improvement efforts
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field
Valid state administrative certification/licensure
Prior teaching experience (middle school experience preferred)
Previous leadership or administrative experience (preferred)
Strong knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices
