Position Title: Assistant Football Coach

Location: Liberal High School

Reports To: Head Football Coach / Athletic Director

Employment Type: Supplemental

Position Summary

Liberal High School is seeking a committed and team-oriented Assistant Football Coach to support the Head Coach in all aspects of the football program. This role focuses on player development, program support, and maintaining a positive team culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with practices, games, and film preparation


• Coach assigned position group and support skill development


• Reinforce team standards, discipline, and sportsmanship


• Supervise student-athletes during team activities


• Support game-day operations and scouting preparation


• Communicate effectively with players and coaching staff


• Ensure compliance with school and district policies

Qualifications

• Football coaching and/or playing experience preferred


• Strong communication and teamwork skills


• Ability to work under the direction of the Head Coach


• Availability for after-school practices and games


• Must meet all district employment requirements

Compensation

• Supplemental pay based on years of experience (in-district)
