We are looking for a Quality Control Technician to join our team in Moab, Utah. This role is a great fit for someone who is observant, detail-oriented, and takes pride in making sure things are done right. You will play an important role in helping ensure our products meet high quality standards throughout production and before they reach our customers. 

About the role

As a Quality Control Technician, you will help monitor daily quality activities across our production and warehouse operations. This is a hands-on role that combines inspection, documentation, communication, and real-time problem solving. You will help identify quality issues, support compliance, and contribute to the systems that help ensure our products consistently meet internal and regulatory standards. 

What you’ll do

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of production and warehouse areas
  • Sample raw materials and products at different stages of production
  • Document inspections, sampling, and other quality-related tasks
  • Communicate inspection results and quality concerns to leadership
  • Assess issues in real time and help determine whether immediate action is needed
  • Document and quarantine nonconforming materials, products, or processes
  • Send samples to the quality control lab in a timely manner
  • Taste, smell, and visually inspect botanicals, vitamins, and minerals
  • Inspect finished goods for quality compliance and documentation prior to shipment
  • Create Certificates of Analysis for raw materials and finished goods
  • Review documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Promote Good Documentation Practices across departments
  • Monitor supply levels and communicate needs
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to work, process, and environment

What we’re looking for

Required qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English well enough to perform the job safely and effectively
  • Must be able to pass a background check 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience or familiarity with food production processes and systems
  • Knowledge of dietary supplement quality and compliance requirements, including cGMP, HARPC, FSMA, Kosher, and Certified Organic guidelines
  • Familiarity with calibrated inspection tools and equipment

Schedule

This is a full-time, hourly position based in Moab, Utah.

Typical schedule:
Monday–Thursday, 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM
with one alternating day of early release each week
and occasional overtime on Fridays

Physical requirements

This role requires sitting, standing, and walking for several hours at a time. It also requires the ability to lift up to 35 pounds repeatedly and up to 75 pounds occasionally, as well as bend, open cabinets, and stand on a stool as needed.
