Work Experience Description:

Suitable for students with basic foundational knowledge and little to no practical experience, ideal for freshmen or sophomores who have completed only introductory courses.

Job Summary

Receives order forms, locates stock and delivers supplies to departments. Checks order forms for proper coding, quantities requested and authorized approvals. Maintains inventory levels by checking shelves and preparing purchase orders. Stocks vendor deliveries in supply room. May operate a computer terminal.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Monitors inventory levels; prepares purchase orders when stock items reach reorder point.
  • Examines received items to verify conformance with specifications and purchase orders.
  • Reports on spoilage and stock damage.

Requirements

  • Requires good health and eye sight.
  • Requires being able to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be capable of full range of body movement.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
  • Should be a high school graduate or the equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills desired, but required.
  • No prior work experience necessary.

Must submit a current semester class schedule (weekly view) and resume.

Work Schedule

19 hours, Varies times Monday - Saturday 8:00AM - 12:00PM

Base Rate Per Hour

$14.00

Approximate starting hourly rate:

$14.00 - $16.00

The wage offered could be above or below range based on education and experience as it relates to the job description.
