Position Overview:
Jusczak Companies is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced accounting professional to oversee all financial operations for Jusczak Companies suite of businesses; Jusczak Trucking, Jusczak Repair, Jusczak Logistics, Jusczak Leasing, Jusczak Properties. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with applicable regulations. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
  • Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax professionals
  • Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts
  • Analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations to leadership
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff
  • Assist with process improvements and implementation of accounting systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 5–7+ years of accounting experience (management or supervisory experience preferred)
  • NetSuite software experience (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Experience in transportation, logistics, or related industry is a plus
