Until Filled Additional Information: Show/Hide - Assess and provide nursing care to students and staff in accordance with professional standards.
- Develop and implement Individualized Health Plans and Emergency Action Plans for students with chronic or complex medical needs.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by the physician.
- Provide emergency medical care, first aid, and crisis intervention as needed.
- Monitor immunization compliance and maintain accurate health records in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Conduct required health screenings, including vision, hearing, and scoliosis.
- Educate students, staff, and families on health topics such as disease prevention, hygiene, and wellness.
- Collaborate with counselors, social workers, psychologists, and other support staff to promote student well-being.
- Participate in Student Assistance Program meetings, IEP meetings, and 504 Plan meetings as needed.
- Assist in implementing infection control procedures and emergency operation plans.
- Maintain confidential medical documentation and communicate appropriately with healthcare providers and families.
- Current, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse license issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
- Associate Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum of two years of nursing experience, preferably in a school, pediatric, or public health setting.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required.
- Completion of continuing education as required by law.
- Strong clinical judgment, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a school setting.
- 183 days following the school calendar
- Compensation in accordance with the Education Support Paraprofessionals agreement.
- Participation in PSERS.
- A collaborative Student Services team committed to student safety, wellness, and whole child support.
