The Opportunity
Halo Industries is seeking a Mechanical Engineer who will contribute to the design, testing, integration and deployment of both proprietary and commercial wafer processing equipment. Working with Halo’s product and manufacturing teams, the hired candidate will contribute to the optimization and scaled deployment of Halo’s technology.
The primary responsibilities of the position include:
● Design, build, and test high-precision electro-mechanical R&D and production manufacturing equipment and tooling, starting from initial process conceptualization through to production deployment on factory floors
● Drive conceptual and detailed designs, using 3D solid modeling (Solidworks)
● Build prototypes and validate designs
● Release parts, assemblies, drawings and ECO’s needed for product release and product support
● Communicate requirements, timelines and deliverables clearly in written and verbal formats
● Work with fabricators, using DFM principles to achieve robust designs that aren’t unnecessarily complicated
● Work with NPI to provide the resources and documentation needed to deploy Halo’s equipment at scale
● Work with software, electrical, and systems engineers to produce integrated solutions to manufacturing needs
● Conduct root cause analysis of test failures and production issues to improve performance
