Job Description

Sussex County Community College is seeking 7 new Part Time Assistant Football Coaches for the 25-26 Season. 


PT Assistant Football Coach Quarterback

PT Assistant Football Coach Defensive Line

PT Assistant Football Coach Offensive Line

PT Assistant Football Coach Running Back

PT Assistant Coach Football Defensive Coordinator / Strength & Conditioning

PT Assistant Coach Football Secondary

PT Assistant Coach Football Outside Backer / Safeties


Main Duties:

  1. Assist the head coach in conducting practice, including the running of drills, teaching techniques, and instructing in a manner consistent with the head coach’s philosophies. 
  2. Assist head coach in evaluating both individual and team talents regarding recruiting and opposing teams/players.
  3. Collaborate with a head coach with in-game information such as strategy, statistics, and game management as requested by the head coach.
  4. Must be able to act as a liaison between head coach and players.
  5. Transport student-athletes to and from games and practices if needed.
  6. Be prepared to conduct the duties of the head coach in the event of his/her absence.
  7. Have a solid background in that sport and a willingness to accept new ideas and philosophies.
  8. Excellent communication skills and ability to relate to students.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. Previous playing/coaching of football preferred.  Knowledge of rules associated with sports is required.  
  2. A valid driver’s license is required

Rate - $6,000 for the season
