E-AIT Team Leader - Leads & Seniors (m/f/d) The E-AIT Team Leader is responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of team activities within Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT). The role ensures efficient task execution in compliance with applicable regulations, internal processes and company agreements.
The position ensures the availability and effective allocation of qualified personnel and contributes to the achievement of project and departmental objectives in terms of cost, schedule, quality and risk.
The role combines direct technical involvement in projects with team leadership, resource management and organisational responsibilities. The E-AIT Team Leader is fully accountable for team performance and project contribution.
Your Tasks
Plan and coordinate the team’s work processes and tasks, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, company agreements and internal procedures Ensure efficient and effective execution of team activities to support project success, departmental objectives and company risk mitigation Ensure the timely availability of qualified personnel with the required competencies for project execution in terms of cost, schedule and quality Contribute operationally to one or more projects, according to the relevant job description, and support projects during the bidding and proposal phase Provide professional and disciplinary leadership, management, evaluation and development of the team in accordance with company management tools and applicable regulations Regularly review project and team results regarding schedule, budget, quality and team performance, and initiate corrective actions when required Analyse short- and medium-term staffing needs using workforce planning tools and support the Head of Department in workload planning Coordinate staffing adjustments with project managers and initiate corrective measures when inconsistencies occur Initiate recruitment activities, support the selection process with HR and the Head of Department, and ensure effective onboarding of new employees Plan and allocate team resources across projects, considering required competencies as well as employee skills and motivation Support employee development and competency growth while minimizing corporate risk through avoidance of single-source expertise Provide technical advice and support to team members in resolving complex project issues and decision-making processes Ensure knowledge transfer across projects and effective communication of relevant information within the team Manage and resolve conflicts and disagreements within the team Introduce and support new processes, tools and continuous process improvements, and ensure their application within projects Support the Head of Department in work package based progress reviews with project teams Monitor competitor activities, industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to the area of responsibility Perform other reasonable and equivalent tasks according to knowledge, skills and operational needs
Your Qualifications
Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline Several years of professional experience in the relevant field, with strong professional and methodological knowledge For technical areas: several years of experience in the space industry, preferably in satellite development Excellent communication skills and the ability to report and present results clearly and effectively to both internal and external stakeholders High problem-solving capability, analytical thinking and creativity High degree of empathy, interpersonal sensitivity and assertiveness Well-structured and organized working approach with innovative mindset High level of fairness, integrity and objectivity Persuasiveness and ability to transfer knowledge within the team Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop employees Strong decision-making and delegation skills Entrepreneurial mindset, strong result orientation and cost awareness Ability to maintain a strategic overview (“helicopter view”) Good understanding of products and technologies in the area of responsibility Awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies in the relevant field
