Job Description

At IAC Planta Monterrey Norte, we are seeking a Labor Relations Specialist with experience in a unionized environment, responsible for managing union relationships, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and contributing to the operational stability of the plant.

This role plays a key part in collective bargaining processes, contract administration, and labor conflict resolution, with direct impact on key HR metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, and employee relations climate.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and ensure proper application

• Actively participate in union negotiations and maintain strong labor relations

• Address and resolve individual and collective labor conflicts, including critical cases

• Advise supervisors and leadership on labor and disciplinary matters

• Monitor and manage key KPIs: turnover, absenteeism, and employee relations climate

• Develop and implement strategies to reduce turnover and absenteeism

• Ensure compliance with Mexican labor laws and internal work regulations (RIT)

• Support new launches, line start-ups, and workforce ramp-ups

• Track and manage employee discipline, attendance, and incidents

• Partner with recruitment teams on high-volume hiring processes


Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in law, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

• Minimum 5 years of experience in labor relations within a unionized environment

• Proven experience in:
       Union negotiations
       Collective bargaining agreement administration
       Labor conflict resolution

• Experience in manufacturing environment (automotive preferred)

• Strong knowledge of:
        Mexican labor law
        Internal work regulations (RIT)

• HR metrics (turnover, absenteeism)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP (preferred)

Intermediate to advanced English
