Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 5th-8th Grade Social StudiesTeacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that supports students’ academic, social, and emotional growth. This role involves delivering standards-based instruction, fostering critical thinking, and helping students build a strong foundation in core subjects.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional lessons aligned with curriculum standards
Teach core subjects including reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation
Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and observations, and adjust instruction accordingly
Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress with parents/guardians
Implement classroom management strategies to promote positive behavior
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities
Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration to enhance student learning
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s preferred)
Valid state teaching certification/license for elementary education
Experience teaching at the elementary level (preferred)
Strong classroom management and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to integrate technology into instruction
Skills and Competencies:
Passion for teaching and working with children
Creativity and adaptability in lesson planning
Strong problem-solving skills
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
