Overview:

Package Pavement is looking for an experienced Fabricator to work in many facets.  

 

Salary Range: $24/hr - $28/hr

Responsibilities:

1. Disassembles, reassembles machinery, equipment, etc. Welds together metal components on machinery, equipment, conveyors, crushing equipment, hoppers, screening equipment. Using proper procedures and SAFE practices.
2. Cuts and fits parts for assembly of new machinery and repair of old using proper equipment.
3. Weld and cut using oxygen/acetylene process. 
4. Work with and maintain welding equipment, portable welders, oxygen/acetylene torches, portable grinders, hand tools.
5. Maintain welding truck. Including regular service intervals, repairing mechanical components. 
6. Availability to work off hours to cover production requirements.
7. To make suggestions to improve processes and equipment.
8. Other duties assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED Required
• Trade school or steel erection background.
• Two-Five year work experience in similar position.
• Technical school training in Welding 
• Clean MVR Required with Insurance
• Must have reliable car for everyday use
• No fear of heights.
• Ability to wear respirators when necessary
• Understanding the different manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of processes and principals of arc welding and cutting and joining material together.
• Ability to use shop math to calculate layouts and to maximize use of materials.
• Able to read and understand blue prints.
• Able to visualize and fabricate components for manufacturing processes.
• Basic plumbing skills.
• Basic carpentry skills.
• Basic electrical knowledge.
• Ability to communicate thoughts clearly.
• To keep SAFETY a top priority when accomplishing tasks.
