Position Summary
The Equipment Service Technician is responsible for servicing, delivering, installing, and removing vending and cooling equipment for RCCB customers throughout the market. This role includes repairing and reconditioning equipment to ensure proper operation, appearance, and customer satisfaction. The position requires strong hands-on technical skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Repair, service, and recondition vending machines and coolers, including washing, painting, applying decals, and replacing refrigeration units.
Assemble vending machine card readers and test equipment to ensure full functionality prior to deployment.
Deliver, install, and remove equipment at customer locations as needed.
Stock delivered equipment with Coca-Cola products when applicable.
Support special events as assigned.
Assist other departments and respond to basic service and repair calls as needed.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, including tools, equipment, and service vehicles.
Follow all company safety, compliance, and operational standards.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and coordinate installations with Full Service teams.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in equipment installation, maintenance, repair, or a related field.
Valid North Carolina driver’s license required.
Ability to read and interpret job orders, wiring diagrams, and safety instructions.
Strong math, reading, and problem-solving skills.
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to customer service.
DOT medical certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
Type I refrigeration certification preferred for a higher starting rate but not required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to frequently lift up to 65 pounds and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds overhead.
Ability to push, pull, kneel, stoop, crawl, bend, climb ladders or stairs, and stand or walk for extended periods.
Ability to work in various weather conditions and around loud machinery.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working with beverage or vending equipment is a plus.
Demonstrated reliability, initiative, and teamwork in previous roles.

This position involves both internal coordination with service teams and direct interaction with customers. Strong communication, professionalism, and problem-solving skills are essential. Candidates must successfully pass a background check, MVR review, and drug screening in accordance with company policy.
