    Position Summary

    This flexible full time dual-role position (ECFE / Preschool) provides strategic leadership for the Early Learning Program while maintaining direct instructional responsibilities. The successful candidate will manage program operations, state compliance, and the district census, while teaching one preschool class and leading ECFE course sessions.
    Leadership Responsibilities

    • Strategic Planning: Develop goals and objectives for ECFE, School Readiness, and Screening based on community need assessments.
    • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure accurate submission of MDE Year-End reporting, and maintain requirements for the Parent Aware 4-Star Rating.
    • Governance: Act as the primary contact for the ECFE Advisory Council, attend required meetings, and provide status reports for the School Board when advised.
    • Operations: Manage program marketing, work with community organizations, gain community feedback, and oversee the district 0�4 age census.


    Instructional & Program Duties

    • Direct Instruction: Develop and deliver hands-on, multi-age lesson plans based on MN Early Learning Standards for students and families.
    • Parent Education: Provide resources, support, and guidance to parents and guardians.
    • Registration: Assist families with course registration/payments, and take daily attendance.
    • Screening: Assist with the district's early childhood screening process.
    • Classroom Management: Establish consistent routines, maintain a literacy-rich environment, provide families with at home strategies/activities, and direct classroom support staff.


    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Licensure: Must hold a valid Minnesota license in Early Childhood Education.
    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Parent Education, or a related field.
    • Experience: 2+ years of licensed teaching/coordination experience preferred.
    • Skills: Child Development knowledge, communication skills, classroom management, and organized / detail orientated.
    • Certification: CPR/First Aid certification required (or obtained within two years).


    Work Schedule & Physical Demands

    • Commitments: Responsibility to teach a night class, and state required family events and activities.
    • Physical: Regular standing, bending, and kneeling; ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds.
