Job Description

We are looking for a Manufacturing Equipment Technician to come join our team at Qualitrol! This will be a C-shift position (10:30 PM-7 AM) which will include a $4.50/hr shift differential.

Your Impact

Here’s where you’ll demonstrate your proficiencies: 

  • Testing of Electro-mechanical assemblies and products.
  • 100 % quality of work
  • Training of technicians and assemblers on mastered processes
  • Testing and troubleshooting of PCB’s
  • Maintaining material inventory control
  • Repair and testing of customer products
  • Rework through hole and surface mount PCB assemblies
  • Provide testing support of engineering prototypes
  • Recommend process improvement and cost reductions
  • Safety within the production operations
  • Assure process documentation is current
  • Assure tools and equipment are functioning as intended
  • Experienced in using and trouble-shooting automated test program (labView or similar) for PCBAs, Sub – assemblies testing.

 

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience: 

  • Technician or Associates degree in Mechatronics, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, or similar degree desired.
  • 3 + years experience in electromechanical and / or electronic product assembly
  • 2 + years experience working in PCB assembly
  • Must be able to work comfortably with the Microsoft Office suite of tools, Lab View, custom Test & calibration software along with production control and management software.
  • Skilled in the use of a wide variety of electromechanical assembly hand tools
  • Solder skills including surface mount assembly
  • Through hole and surface mount PCB repair and rework skills
  • Able to read, follow and suggest improvements to production work instructions.
  • Ability to read and follow engineering schematics and drawings
  • Ability to focus, prioritize, multitask, cope with change
  • Self Starter and sense of urgency
  • Able to perform accurate and detail orientated work with minimal guidance
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members.
