Position Details:

  • Schedule: Part-Time, Monday/Wednesday/Friday

  • Shift: 5-hour evening shift

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Dialysis RN to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior hemodialysis experience and a passion for providing high-quality care to patients with renal failure. This role involves patient assessments, treatment monitoring, medication administration, and ensuring the safe and effective operation of dialysis equipment. Strong communication skills and the ability to support patients and their families are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient assessments before, during, and after dialysis treatment.

  • Monitor vital signs and adjust treatment parameters as needed.

  • Administer medications and IV fluids per physician orders.

  • Set up and operate dialysis equipment, ensuring safety and proper function.

  • Educate patients and families on treatment, dietary needs, and medication management.

  • Identify and respond to complications or adverse reactions during treatment.

  • Collaborate with nephrologists, physicians, and the healthcare team to implement care plans.

  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records.

  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and quality initiatives.

  • Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and families.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license in New York State (required).

  • Minimum 1 year of dialysis nursing experience (required).

  • Strong critical thinking, clinical, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
