Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve targeted productivity and quality standards for Container Freight Station (CFS) operations.
  • Implement and monitor cost control strategies and operational procedures.
  • Liaise with customer representatives to ensure high levels of satisfaction and service delivery.
  • Supervise carting, stuffing, de-stuffing, and loading activities in line with documentation and client requirements.
  • Ensure timely placement of import containers prior to customs inspection as per customer requests.
  • Enforce adherence to safety protocols in accordance with established SOPs and Risk Assessments (RAs).
  • Coordinate with Warehouse In-Charge and contractors to achieve operational and team objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, Environment (QHSE), and supply chain security standards.
  • Oversee proper placement and handling of empty containers for stuffing and de-stuffing operations.
  • Ensure hazardous cargo is handled safely and stored only in designated areas.
  • Report any cargo damage at the time of arrival to customers promptly via phone and email.
  • Coordinate with surveyors, checkers, and vendor supervisors to ensure quality service delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of CFS (Container Freight Station) operations, including documentation and cargo handling processes.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and warehouse/logistics management systems.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.

Responsibilities

  • Implement cost-saving strategies and procedures to optimize operations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer representatives, ensuring their satisfaction and resolving any issues.
  • Supervise carting, stuffing, and de-stuffing processes, ensuring compliance with documents and client requirements.
  • Ensure import containers are placed for customs inspection as per customer requests.
  • Enforce safety precautions as per standard operating procedures (SOPs) and relevant regulations.
  • Coordinate with the Warehouse In-charge and contractors to achieve team goals and maintain efficient operations.
  • Comply with MICT's quality, health, safety, environment, and supply chain security management systems.
  • Ensure proper placement and handling of empty containers for stuffing and de-stuffing.
  • Report any damages to cargo upon arrival to customers promptly, both verbally and in writing.

Qualifications

  • Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in MS Office are essential.
  • Prior experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer liaison.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a team to achieve operational goals.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and process management.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in warehouse environments.
