Description
Responsible to provide counselling services to Northern Maine Medical Center children and adult clients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide appropriate evidence-based psychotherapy with individuals, groups and families.
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and updates as needed.
- Conduct intakes and assist in coordinating placements in residential programs.
- Develop appropriate goal focused, person centered, treatment plans containing measurable goals and objectives; obtaining client and other stake holder (guardians, family members, payers etc.) input as appropriate
- Provider group sessions as needed on the inpatient units.
- Maintain communication as needed with external treatment teams and professionals
- Provide training on implementation of treatment plans as needed with other members of the treatment team
- Document all meetings and calls with patients, family members, providers, etc.
- All notes to be completed within 24 hours as mentioned in the bylaws.
- Provide input for program planning
- Attend supervision, provider meetings, and in-service trainings
- Follow Northern Maine Medical Center’s mission statement and core values
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission of the organization
Requirements
Requires a master's degree in social work
Must hold a valid Maine License. Minimum of a LMSW-CC.
