Responsible to provide counselling services to Northern Maine Medical Center children and adult clients.

Responsibilities:

Provide appropriate evidence-based psychotherapy with individuals, groups and families.
Conduct psychosocial assessments and updates as needed.
Conduct intakes and assist in coordinating placements in residential programs.
Develop appropriate goal focused, person centered, treatment plans containing measurable goals and objectives; obtaining client and other stake holder (guardians, family members, payers etc.) input as appropriate
Provider group sessions as needed on the inpatient units.
Maintain communication as needed with external treatment teams and professionals
Provide training on implementation of treatment plans as needed with other members of the treatment team
Document all meetings and calls with patients, family members, providers, etc.
All notes to be completed within 24 hours as mentioned in the bylaws.
Provide input for program planning
Attend supervision, provider meetings, and in-service trainings
Follow Northern Maine Medical Center’s mission statement and core values
Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission of the organization

Requires a master's degree in social work

Must hold a valid Maine License. Minimum of a LMSW-CC.
