Job Description

Description

Responsible to provide counselling services to Northern Maine Medical Center children and adult clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide appropriate evidence-based psychotherapy with individuals, groups and families.
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and updates as needed.
  • Conduct intakes and assist in coordinating placements in residential programs.
  • Develop appropriate goal focused, person centered, treatment plans containing measurable goals and objectives; obtaining client and other stake holder (guardians, family members, payers etc.) input as appropriate
  • Provider group sessions as needed on the inpatient units.
  • Maintain communication as needed with external treatment teams and professionals
  • Provide training on implementation of treatment plans as needed with other members of the treatment team
  • Document all meetings and calls with patients, family members, providers, etc.
  • All notes to be completed within 24 hours as mentioned in the bylaws.
  • Provide input for program planning
  • Attend supervision, provider meetings, and in-service trainings
  • Follow Northern Maine Medical Center’s mission statement and core values
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission of the organization

Requirements

Requires a master's degree in social work

Must hold a valid Maine License. Minimum of a LMSW-CC.
