Description

We are seeking experienced auto damage estimators with proven experience estimating hail-damaged vehicles specifically for Paintless Dent Repair (PDR).

This role supports high-volume CAT (catastrophe) hail operations and requires strong understanding of PDR repair methodology. This is not a conventional body shop estimating role.

If you are looking for 1099 work and live in any of these states (Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Louisiana, or Colorado), we want to talk with you!

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect hail-damaged vehicles in field or lot environments
  • Identify and map dents eligible for Paintless Dent Repair (PDR)
  • Write accurate repair estimates aligned with PDR standards
  • Distinguish PDR-repairable damage from conventional body repair
  • Document damage using estimating software and photos
  • Communicate repair intent clearly to PDR technicians and operations teams|

Required Experience

  • Experience estimating hail damage on vehicles
  • Working knowledge of Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) methods and limitations
  • Ability to assess dent size, depth, location, metal stretch, and panel material
  • Experience with estimating platforms such as CCC, Audatex, or Mitchell
  • Ability to work independently in high-volume, time-sensitive environments

Not a Fit If…

  • Your background is primarily conventional body or filler-based estimating
  • You do not have direct experience with hail damage estimating
  • You are unfamiliar with PDR repair standards
  • You require W-2 employment, hourly pay, or guaranteed schedules
  • You are not comfortable working CAT assignments or traveling as needed

  • Maintains required licenses and insurance (if applicable)
  • Responsible for all taxes and business expenses
