Job Description

The Clinical Technician plays a key role in delivering advanced interventional treatments for psychiatric and neurological conditions at Salma Health. The primary responsibility of this role is to administer Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatments, Esketamine (Spravato) treatments, EEG procedures, and cognitive testing.

This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in interventional psychiatry and brain science.

Responsibilities

TMS Treatment Delivery

  • Administer conventional and SAINT TMS per protocol.

  • Monitor and document patient responses in EHR.

  • Prepare rooms and calibrate TMS equipment before sessions.

  • Communicate effectively with providers and escalate concerns.

Administrative Support

  • Greet and check-in patients in a calm, welcoming manner.

  • Answer phones, schedule follow-ups, and assist with administrative tasks.

  • Ensure accurate documentation of patient intake and visit summaries.

Esketamine Support

  • Assist with set-up, observation, and documentation during esketamine treatments.

  • Support recovery monitoring and patient safety.

Interdisciplinary & Research Support

  • Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and research teams to ensure high-quality care.

  • Participate in clinical data collection and research activities as directed

Qualifications

Required

  • Medical Assistant or equivalent healthcare experience

  • Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence, with the ability to work compassionately with patients experiencing psychiatric and neurological conditions.

  • Ability to learn quickly, follow protocols, and adapt to dynamic clinical situations.

  • Professionalism and ability to remain calm under pressure.

Ideal Candidate

  • Prior experience with ketamine, IV treatments, or behavioral health preferred.

  • MA, EMT, LVN, or BA in Psychology/Health Sciences encouraged.

  • Detail-oriented, emotionally grounded, and able to support patients in vulnerable states.

  • Able to rotate between modalities and tasks based on clinic needs.
