Project Manager I is an emerging leader responsible for managing core aspects of project execution, including planning, procurement, cost control, and documentation. This role works closely with superintendents, project engineers, and senior project managers to ensure that work is completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with contract requirements. Project Manager I is focused on building technical and leadership capabilities while contributing to successful project delivery.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Accept the project from the estimating department/PSP at budget transfer.
- Assist in project planning and mobilization.
- Support the development of the CPM baseline schedule, monthly updates, and narratives.
- Coordinate with the Superintendent and Project Engineer to align the CPM schedule with procurement and field activities.
- Participate in subcontractor purchasing, ensuring compliance with bonding policy and procurement timing.
- Review and process submittals to meet schedule and contract requirements.
- Expedite material deliveries from subcontractors and vendors.
- Confirm material inspections for quantity, quality, and conformance with approved submittals.
- Manage the RFI process and ensure drawings are current and properly posted.
- Administer the change order process for both prime and subcontractor changes.
- Assist in preparing and submitting monthly draw requests and subcontractor/vendor invoices.
- Support cost control by reviewing weekly and monthly job cost reports and identifying trends.
- Accumulate data for monthly owner and subcontractor pay applications.
- Assist with field-initiated purchasing and production analysis studies.
- Support project closeout in compliance with contract documents.
- Ensure timely preparation and execution of purchase orders and subcontracts, including insurance certificates, bonds, and lien waivers.
- Promote safety policies and maintain a clean and orderly jobsite.
- Participate in the Greco Structures Quality Control Program.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS
- This role requires regular physical activity, including walking, standing for extended periods of time, and working in various outdoor conditions as part of daily field operations. Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather, if needed. This may include climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching. Occasional office work will be required.
- Occasional heavy lifting (=50 lbs./=22.7 + kg) can be expected, though exertion of up to 10lbs of force is more common.
- Strong manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment (e.g. computers, mobile devices, copiers, etc.).
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- B.A. or B.S. in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent experience
- 3-5+ years of relevant experience in managing construction projects, safety acumen, and a thorough knowledge of contract documents, materials, equipment utilization, scheduling systems, productivity analysis, construction operations, and cash flow procedures is essential.
