SUMMARY OF POSITION
A State Bank Branch Manager is the primary Small Business Development and Consumer Lending Officer in their Market. They are responsible for leading and supporting a variety of business development activities to drive growth in deposits, loans, and branch profitability. Managers are accountable for the operational oversight and overall branch compliance adherence of their team. Providing leadership, coaching, and developing their team to deliver customer service excellence that is focused on the financial well-being of each client is critical in this role. As a community bank, State Bank is committed to serving the community, and each manager is expected to be visible and engaged in their local markets.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Lead and implement the State Bank Way to maximize sales productivity and employee engagement through coaching and mentoring.
2. Hold the team accountable for providing excellent customer service and adhering to State Bank customer service standards.
3. Oversee branch regulatory compliance, security, and operational controls, and ensure all bank policies and procedures are adhered to.
4. Hold team members accountable for results with a consistent, disciplined coaching and performance management process to ensure profitable branch growth.
5. Facilitate strong branch partnerships with line of business partners, focusing on client acquisition and deepening the relationship of current clients; effectively manage internal and external COIs.
6. Engage in outside business development for the retention, expansion, and acquisition of Small Business clients.
7. Actively participate in civic activities and engage with community stakeholders to represent the bank’s commitment to the communities within the branch market area.
8. Responsible for managing, staffing, and scheduling all direct report work schedules within the branch, including recruiting/identifying talent, interviewing, selecting the branch team, and successfully onboarding and training new teammates.
9. Approves consumer loans within established limits and adheres to all Federal lending rules and regulations for Mortgages in addition to all banking regulations.
10. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree preferred. Requires a minimum of five years of banking experience with lending experience. Three to five years of mortgage lending/processing experience preferred. Sales and customer service background required. Requires three years of supervisory experience. Maintain NMLS.
