Job Summary and Description

This position will have leadership oversight for multiple workforce/career and technical degree and certificate programs and selected academic transfer pathways. Workforce program development is a significant responsibility for this role.

Administrator of the workforce degrees and certificates as
well as professional programs. Serves as the College’s representative for these
programs with state agencies, councils and committees. Provides innovative and
insightful leadership to develop and strengthen partnerships with industry,
business, and community organizations. Provides administrative leadership and
guidance and monitors the effectiveness of instruction and learning within the
areas of Workforce and Professional Programs. Provides administrative oversight
on available funding sources for the college in these areas.

Reports to the Vice President for Academic Success.

 Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Substantial experience in college teaching, instructional administration, program planning, and/or programs of academic support and development with a proven record of increasingly broad responsibilities.
  • Values and respects student, faculty, staff, and community populations with a wide variety of academic, cultural, ability and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experience with oversight of Workforce Programs and Academic Transfer pathways at a community college.
  • Demonstrated experience with the development of multiple Workforce Programs.

License and Certifications:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver license. Must be insurable through the organization’s insurers.
