Job Description

We are seeking skilled Transport/IP NOC Technicians to join our mission-focused Network Operations Center (NOC) team supporting operations at Scott AFB, IL and Hill AFB, UT. This is an opportunity to work at the core of global defense network operations, contributing directly to national security objectives by ensuring reliable and secure data transport across the Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN).Key


Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage global IP and transport networks using enterprise tools in a 24/7 NOC environment.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve circuit and transport/IP issues using router commands, loops, alarms, and diagnostic tools.

  • Utilize Remedy to create, update, and manage incident tickets.

  • Escalate critical network faults and ensure timely resolution in coordination with Tier II/III engineering teams.

  • Provide operational support for key mission systems such as JRSS, ESGS, ISR platforms, and Missile Defense communications.

  • Maintain situational awareness of network performance, degradation, and outages.

  • Apply networking principles to live environments with a strong focus on system reliability and security compliance.



Requirements

Basic Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent and 2–4 years of relevant experience.

  • Must hold a DoD-8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE).

  • Experience in Alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance.

  • Managing or configuring routers, switches, and crypto devices.

  • Technologies such as DSN/DRSN, Cisco, Juniper, Promina, DWDM, Optical Switching

  • General understanding of network topologies (transport and IP).
