Position Summary:

This position works within the Fundraising department. This department is responsible for Individual Giving that supports the Foodbank for NYC. This is a project-based research heavy role. In order to support these tasks, this position will:

• Organize and evaluate incoming individual donors (500+), delegating to appropriate fundraisers and ensuring alignment with fundraising priorities.
• Identify and qualify new prospective donors through initial background qualification and outreach, including calls, emails, and event invitations to assess interest and engagement potential.
• Conduct in-depth profiles on principal and major gift level current prospects that will allow for enhanced strategy and donor experiences.
• Represent Food Bank and its programs accurately when speaking with donors, volunteers, and colleagues as needed at team events, volunteer opportunities, and organization-wide events.
• Contribute to organizational and departmental culture by working with integrity, maintaining a solutions-oriented approach, and adjusting research to best serve Food Bank’s mission and major gift officers.
• Help secure, maintain and enter information in Raiser’s Edge NXT

• Additional responsibilities as needed to support departmental and strategic goals.

Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree complete or in progress- preferred Jr. or Sr.
• Commitment to the mission and values of Food Bank For New York City
• Strong written and verbal communication skill
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to produce under deadlines and work independently and effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office. CRM databases (preferably Raiser’s Edge, or Salesforce) is a plus
• Experience with prospect qualification platforms like Inside Philanthropy, DonorSearch, iWave, and LexisNexis (would be preferred)
