Marine Transport Engineer

our talented dteq team, as we look for a Marine Transport Engineer
in Aarhus, Denmark.

Key responsibilities:

  • Issuing Stowage- and Lashing plans using AutoCAD
  • Issuing the related Lashing calculations
  • Supervision of cargo handling operations, mainly for North – and Baltic Sea.
  • Reviewing Stowage- and Lashing plans and related calculations from others
  • Issuing Method Statements
  • Issuing Lifting- and Rigging plans
  • Create ballast plans and mooring analysis, if applicable
  • Maintaining qualified communication and build up professional relationship with dteq clients
  • Cultivating and supporting relationship within the deugro group companies
 

Skills, knowledge and expertise:

  • At least 3 years of of experience as a port captain, supercargo or in a similar role
  • Good knowledge about the actual applicable industry standards (IMO CSS / DNV GL)
  • Good understanding of vessel deck constructions
  • Good knowledge in handling of Windpower components
  • Proficient in MS Office / 365
  • Proven knowledge of loading, lashing and vessel operations 
  • Good communication skills
  • Good understanding of vessel operations
  • On-hands and proactive working attitude
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Team player mindset
  • Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines
  • Solution-driven way of working and ability to think outside the box
  • Excellent knowledge of QHSES rules and regulations in ports and on-board vessels
  • Ability to travel (also on short notice, abt. 30%)
