Duties

Serve as the supervisor and lead point of contact for Patient Appointments and Schedule Management Services under the Chief, Clinical Operations (ClinOps).,Supervise and is responsible for the management, analysis, and compliance in the Patient Appointments Service (PAS).,Develop and maintain data capture tools and systems which facilitate the multi-dimensional manipulation of appointing and access-to-care data.,Manage and analyze the patient appointment functions for the outpatient specialty and subspecialty clinics at Carl R Darnall Army Medical Center (CRDAMC).

Basic Requirement for Supervisory Health System Specialist:Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with administrative policies, programs or operations related to health care delivery, utilizing automated systems to enter, retrieve, extract, or analyze data from medical information systems, and managing the workload of a clinic and its staff members. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
