This position will assist the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing to enhance the game day experience while strengthening the Black Bear brand through creative marketing efforts. The Assistant Director of Athletic Marketing will strive to develop new marketing plans to help generate revenue and general awareness for University of Maine athletics. Qualifications:
Knowledge/Skill Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in sports management, business, marketing or related field required.
- Strong working knowledge of all social media platforms required.
- Strong working knowledge of graphic design software
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in NCAA Division I Athletic Department required.
- Demonstrate understanding of marketing, college athletics and revenue production required.
- Video, photography and video editing experience preferred
- Must be able to work nights and weekends required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others
- Strong customer service skills and commitment to fan experience
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with potential sponsors and donors
- Ability to design marketing materials; proficient in use of Microsoft Office products and Adobe Creative Suite required.
- Ability to think creatively and act independently
- Experience in supervising small groups
- Strong oral and written communication skills required.
- Ability to travel, normally requiring a valid driver’s license.
