Job Description

Shifts Available: Monday - Thursday 3pm to 4am OR Monday - Friday 6:30am to 3:30pm


Position Purpose 

 Responsible for operation of injection molding machines and related equipment in production of quality products.  

 Essential Duties and responsibilities 

  • Operate molding machines.
  • Clip, trim, visually inspect and package quality product as required in the documented instructions.  
  • Ensure proper housekeeping by clearing and cleaning workspace. 
  • Complete all paperwork pertaining to production neatly and correctly following all quality standards.  
  • Perform checks and compare parts with the QA samples.
  • Monitor, record and report all scrap.
  • Assist molders during machine changes as needed
  • Perform inspection of machine to identify potential malfunctions.
  • Responsible for following all Vaupell policies, standard operating procedures and safety practices. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications/Requirements 

  • High school diploma/general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of experience, training and education
  • Ability to read, speak, understand and follow instructions in English.
  • Capable of using basic hand tools
  • Comprehension of basic math, including fractions, decimals, averages and percentages  
  • Must be able to wear and properly use required personal protective equipment

Candidates must be a “US Person” (i.e. US Citizen or Permanent Resident) to ensure Vaupell's compliance with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and EAR (Export Administration Regulations) 

 Environmental Condition 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  

 Physical Requirements 

Must be able to remain standing/walking through most of shift.
