Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and monitor pick-and-place machines, screen printers, and reflow ovens.
Setup & Loading: Load, verify, and replenish electronic components into machine feeders.
Quality Control: Inspect PCBs for defects using magnification tools or Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) systems.
Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on SMT equipment.
Production Standards: Adhere to safety, IPC standards, and production schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of PCB assembly, electronic components, and SMT machinery.
Dexterity: High hand-eye coordination for handling and soldering very small components, often under a microscope.
Attention to Detail: Ability to follow strict quality guidelines and technical documentation.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is typically required; technical certification (e.g., IPC-A-610) is a plus.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced manufacturing or electronics production environment.
Requires standing for long periods and adherence to ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) safety precautions.
