The team you will be a part of

The Project Management team manages all aspects of a large scale and complex project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget. Design, communicate, and implement an operational plan for completing a project; monitor progress and performance against the project plan; resolve operational problems, minimize delays. Identify, develop, and gather necessary resources to complete the project.

This role in summary

As a PLO (Project Leadership Office) Project Manager, you will lead cross functional teams and will be responsible for all aspects of multiple product development projects including scope, time, cost, and quality management to ensure successful project delivery. 

 

Your responsibilities will include

  • Lead projects using the Whirlpool Product Development (WPD 2.0) System, for Production Development Projects (PDP) & Advanced Development Projects (ADP).

  • Responsible for the entire project lifecycle: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring & controlling, and closing.

  • Develop, Access, Manage & Report X- Functional Stakeholder Requirements

  • Review and Manage Master Schedule and Capital Spending

  • Review & Report Project Scope/ Charter and KPIs

  • Develop, Access, Manage & Report X- Functional Risk Assessment & propose Risk Mitigation Plans and ensure APQP embedment & reporting.

  • Resolve and escalate Help Chain for Identified Anodons

  • Report Project Progress and Recommendations are required Gates/ Milestones and Approve PPTA / PPM  information for Leadership reviews

  • Lead (Guide/ Coach) Core Team & ensure WPD Process adherence for successful project Delivery & closure.

  • Support Planning and Architecture Teams to develop project approaches and KPI establishment Key KPIs Project/s Overall KPIs

  • X Functional Stakeholder Requirements and Risks Management

  • Contribute to Project Leadership Office objectives and development.

  • Report on a portfolio of projects providing oversight on spending and status.

  • Protecting and securing intellectual property controls within the initiatives under control of this position.

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s in an engineering discipline

  • 5+ years Project Management Experience

  • 5+ years Product Design Development, Manufacturing and Procurement Experience

  • PMI or PMP Education

  • Leader; Ability to manage and lead others and exerting personal influence

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Analytical and attention to detail

  • Demonstrated good judgment, business decision-making
