Qualifications
The Security Specialist plays a critical role in supporting mission-focused operations by managing and coordinating security clearance activities for private sector personnel. This position serves as a key liaison between organizational units and the Security Division, ensuring background investigations are initiated, tracked, and completed efficiently. The Security Specialist also delivers impactful security briefings and debriefings, maintains accurate clearance records, and provides responsive, high‑quality customer service in a fast‑paced, security‑driven environment.

Responsibilities
- Submit, track, and manage security clearance packages for private sector personnel.
- Initiate background investigations and coordinate with the Security Division to obtain required information.
- Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date clearance status records and conduct routine follow‑ups to ensure timely processing.
- Prepare and deliver required security briefings and debriefings.
- Produce clear, comprehensive written communications, reports, and presentations.
- Perform all duties with professionalism and a strong commitment to customer service.

Qualifications
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a security-related field (e.g., industrial security, physical security, or computer/network security).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including complex spreadsheets), Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience delivering briefings.
- Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and attention to detail.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to work professionally in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting federal security clearance processes and background investigations.
- Familiarity with clearance tracking systems or security databases.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.
- Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.
- Knowledge of federal government contracting business processes.
