Perry Local Schools is seeking a motivated and student-centered K–8 Physical Education Teacher to deliver a comprehensive program that promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles. The ideal candidate will create a positive, active learning environment that engages all students and builds confidence through movement.

Key Responsibilities
•Plan and deliver standards-aligned physical education instruction for grades K–8
•Teach fundamental motor skills, fitness concepts, and cooperative activities
•Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal responsibility
•Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
•Ensure a safe and structured environment for physical activity
•Assess student progress and provide feedback on skill development and fitness
•Collaborate with staff to support school-wide wellness initiatives
•Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues

Qualifications
•Valid Ohio teaching license in Physical Education (K–12 or appropriate grade band)
•Knowledge of age-appropriate physical education practices and safety protocols
•Strong classroom management and organizational skills
•Commitment to student engagement and positive relationship-building

Preferred Qualifications
•Experience teaching multiple grade levels (elementary and middle school)
•Familiarity with fitness assessment tools and data tracking
•Willingness to support extracurricular activities or coaching
