Located on the campus of Thomas Hospital


Our growing cardiology practice is seeking a friendly and professional Phone Operator to join our team in Mobile, Alabama. In this important role, you will serve as a primary point of contact for patients by providing exceptional customer service and ensuring prompt, accurate communication.


The ideal candidate is dependable, team-oriented, and able to manage a high volume of patient calls in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Previous customer service or medical office experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated candidates who are eager to learn and grow.


This is a full-time, day shift position with no weekends and paid holidays off.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming patient calls promptly and professionally
  • Schedule appointments and assist with patient inquiries
  • Route calls to appropriate departments and clinical staff
  • Provide accurate information regarding appointments, messages, and office procedures
  • Maintain professionalism and excellent customer service at all times
  • Document patient communication accurately
  • Collaborate with team members to improve patient experience and workflow efficiency
  • Assist with general front-office communication tasks as needed


Qualifications

  • Previous customer service or healthcare experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment
  • Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills required
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting
