Job Description:

The Research Administrative Assistant is a vital member of the research department. This position provides comprehensive administrative support to research staff, ensuring the smooth operation of ongoing clinical trials and research projects. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Schedule and manage research appointments. 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical trial documentation. 

  • Prepare and submit regulatory documents as required by Institutional Review Boards (IRBs). 

  • Assist with data entry into electronic databases. 

  • Answer phones and emails professionally and courteously. 

  • Manage physician and research team calendars, scheduling appointments and meetings. 

  • Maintain filing systems (electronic and paper) for research records. 

  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and presentations. 

  • Order and maintain office supplies. 

  • Stay informed of research protocols and procedures. 

  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information. 

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures. 

  • Assist with sponsor invoicing. 

  • Assist with sponsor payment posting.

Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma required; associate's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field is preferred. 

  • Minimum of two (2) years of administrative experience, preferably in a healthcare or research setting. 

 

Knowledge, Competencies & Skills: 

  • Strong organizational and time management skills. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). 

  • Ability to learn and adapt to new procedures and technologies. 

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

  • Professional and courteous demeanor. 

  • Knowledge of urological terminology (a plus). 

  • Experience with clinical trial research processes (a plus). 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills. 

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 

  • Strong interpersonal skills. 

  • Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute.

Travel: 

  • This position does not require any travel. 

 

Physical Requirements for the Job: 

  • Regularly required to sit and stand for extended periods. 

  • Involves standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, and twisting.  

  • Requires full range of body motion, including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. 

  • Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 lbs. 

Job Type: Full-Time 
 
Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
 
Actual compensation offered to candidates is based on work experience, education, skill level, and geographic location. Compensation may vary depending on the state or region in which the position is located, in accordance with applicable laws.
