Position SummaryThe Department of Chicana and Chicano Studies  is seeking a qualified temporary part-time faculty. This is a semester-by-semester contract, and positions will be filled depending on budget and course enrollment. The position's duties include but are not limited to all aspects of teaching and grading for CCST 1125, Musical Cultures & Expressions. This encompasses preparing for all exams, including mid-terms and final exams, preparing materials relevant to classes, and preparing other materials as needed. This may also require coordinating classes and exams. 
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: To teach courses as described above  are determined by the Higher Learning Commission's accreditation requirements for faculty and must be met in one of these ways. 

  • MA in Southwest Hispanic and Chicano Studies
  • Has taught Chicana and Chicano Studies courses online and face-to-face.
  • Has experience with culture and regional music

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Has taught Mexican-American music 
  • Has taught in a college or university
