Job Description

CUSD is seeking a full-time, 6.5 hour/day Registered Nurse for Anderson Elementary School for the 26-27 SY

Qualifications:

Minimum Education/Certification:

  • Registered Professional Nurse, licensed in the State of Illinois
  • Maintenance of Health Provider CPR/AED Certification

Primary Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain accurate medical records, documentation and assist with administrative duties as needed
  • Scheduling daily, weekly, monthly, yearly meetings/events
  • Contact parents/guardians as needed in the event of injury, illness, or student need
  • Maintain communications with school personnel

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
● Maintain accurate medical records, documentation and assist with administrative
duties as needed
● Scheduling daily, weekly, monthly, yearly meetings / events
● Contact parents/guardians as needed in the event of injury, illness, or student need
● Maintain communications with school personnel
● Support school personnel in meeting program IEPs, and/or medical needs of
students
● Working knowledge and application of technology and office equipment to support
care management
● Provide nursing care for staff and students using the nursing process in
accordance with professional standards, District 303 policy and procedures, and
state and local mandates
● Dispense medication and deliver treatment as ordered by the student's physician in
accordance with health care needs as prescribed and/or identified in the student’s
health care plan.
● Maintain a clean and orderly health office/care environment
● Support students across educational settings including but not limited to
community based instruction, work based learning and transportation
● Acquire and maintain an understanding of the structure, operation and function of
the school district, building and various departments

confidentiality of information regarding students, personnel, and all job-related
matters. In addition, all staff are expected to serve as a positive role model and
work to ensure a safe building environment.

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and
peripherals.

peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
