Required Qualifications
- KU undergraduate student enrolled, and in good academic standing, in a School of Architecture & Design degree program: BFA in Design (Animation, Illustration, Industrial Design, Interaction Design, Visual Communication Design), BS in Interior Architecture, or Master of Architecture (M.Arch).
- Have completed 30 hours of coursework by the end of Fall 2025 semester.
- Previous experience working with the public, as evidenced in application materials.
Advertised Salary Range
$15.00 per hour
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of the School of Architecture & Design and ability to learn and understand academic requirements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills as shown in application materials.
- Previous work experience that demonstrated the ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated knowledge of university offices and academic programs.
- Previous experience demonstrating interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Experience managing social medial accounts on behalf of an organization including Facebook, X, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Previous experience working with a team.
Position Overview
The primary purpose of the School of Architecture & Design Student Ambassadors is to recruit students to the School of Architecture & Design at KU. They will serve as representatives of the School of Architecture & Design for prospective students through such activities as building tours, panels, events, and various outreach efforts aimed at cultivating and fostering an interest in the University of Kansas.

Position Requirements
During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).
Employment Conditions
(1) Student employees are not eligible for remote work arrangements unless an exception is approved by the unit leadership and HR.
