Special Education Teacher - CEP

 Qualifications: 



  1. Must be licensed as a Special Education teacher - Moderate Disabilities with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education

  2. SEI Endorsement Required

  3. Must hold a bachelor's degree or higher.


General Duties: 


 


Guides and evaluates the learning experience of the students in her/his classes and accepts responsibility for activities of students within her/his purview within the school building or on the school grounds. 


 


Specific Duties: 



  • Provides differentiated curriculum instruction to students

  • Participates in curriculum planning and professional development activities

  • Prepares records and reports as required

  • Provides for the care and protection of school property

  • Keeps records and all bookssupplies, and equipment in their classroom

  • Accepts instructional and non-instructional assignments as provided for in the collective bargaining agreement 

  • Participates in faculty meetings and workshops

  • Provides, when necessary, instructional help outside the regular student day within bounds established by the collective bargaining agreement

  • Adheres to School Committee policy
