Registered Nurse, RN or LPN - Wound Care
Position Summary
The Wound Care Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for patients with acute and chronic wounds. This role collaborates with providers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure evidence-based wound management, promote healing, and prevent complications.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive wound assessments and document findings accurately
- Develop and implement individualized wound care treatment plans
- Provide advanced wound care treatments, including dressing changes, debridement support, and negative pressure wound therapy
- Monitor patient progress and modify care plans as needed
- Educate patients, families, and staff on wound care prevention and management
- Collaborate with physicians, therapy, and care teams to coordinate care
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control standards
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to wound care outcomes
- Support pressure injury prevention programs and audits

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) OR LPN license in the State of Idaho (or compact state)
- Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience; wound care experience preferred
- Wound Care Certification (e.g., WCC, CWCN) preferred or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe
- Current BLS certification required necessary. CPR, ACLS, and PALS preferred. Must exhibit excellent customer service and communication.
