Job Description

Position Overview:

The Senior Manager of Financial Systems, Planning & Reporting is responsible for building a high-performing, future-ready financial technology ecosystem for the company. This includes leading ERP enhancements, implementing a planning system (Adaptive or similar), setting up construction financial integrations (Procore ↔ NetSuite), and owning all financial reporting frameworks (PowerBI). The role serves as the organization’s financial data, planning, and reporting infrastructure chief architect.


Job Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have experience and practical expertise in the following:

1. Finance Technology Architecture & Ownership

  • Serve as the enterprise architect for all finance systems, ensuring scalability for multi-state data center expansion.
  • Lead system implementations, upgrades, integration design, and workflow optimization.
  • Build and maintain a unified financial data model across ERP, planning, and reporting layers.

2. ERP Management (NetSuite)

  • Own configuration, module customization, chart-of-accounts structure, financial controls, and user roles.
  • Drive continuous optimization: automation, integrations, approval workflows, and system performance tuning.

3. Corporate Planning System (Adaptive/Workday and similar tools)

  • Implement and manage Adaptive to support:
    • Budgeting
    • Forecasting
    • Workforce planning
    • Long-range planning (LRP)
  • Build driver-based models for construction, corporate, and operational expenses.
  • Ensure consistent data syncing between NetSuite actuals and Adaptive actual/forecast scenarios.

4. Construction System Integration (Procore)

  • Lead integration of Procore financials into NetSuite for real-time visibility.
  • Standardize cost codes, WBS structures, and job-cost workflows across all construction projects.
  • Ensure reporting supports cost tracking for large, multi-phase data center builds.

5. PowerBI Reporting & Visualization

  • Build executive dashboards and reporting systems for:
    • Monthly close
    • Opex/Capex
    • Project-level financial performance
    • Cash flow
    • Variance analysis
    • KPI tracking
  • Oversee data pipelines that ensure accuracy, completeness, and real-time updates.

6. Cross-Functional Enablement

  • Partner with Construction, Procurement, Accounting, and FP&A to gather system requirements.
  • Train users across departments and create documentation for system usage.
  • Build policies and controls regarding data governance, user access, audit trails, and documentation standards.

7. Leadership & Team Building

  • Define long-term vision for the Financial Systems & BI function.
  • Build a lean but high-impact team as the company scales.
  • Mentor systems analysts, BI engineers, and future hires.


Basic Qualifications (minimum requirements that can be quickly identified on a resume)

  • 8–14 years in financial systems, FP&A operations, BI engineering, or ERP architecture.
  • ·Required: Hands-on experience with NetSuite, Adaptive, Power BI.
  • ·Strong SQL, data modeling, and BI experience (PowerBI required).
  • Experience integrating construction systems (Procore) is strongly preferred.
  • Proven leadership building financial systems at scaling companies.
  • Strong compliance, documentation discipline, and cross-functional coordination.

 

Annual Compensation Range: $160,000 - $200,000 Base Salary + Discretionary Bonus


Location: Seattle, WA or Denver, CO
