    Job Description:        PRIMARY FUNCTION: This is a full-time teaching position. 
     
    The Dual Enrollment Welding Instructor provides rigorous, industry-aligned instruction that enables high school students to earn both high school and college credit while developing technical welding skills, safety practices, and employability competencies. This position provides students with hands-on, standards-based training in welding processes, safety, blueprint reading, and fabrication techniques while emphasizing employability skills such as teamwork, problem solving, and professionalism. Through intentional alignment with local and regional talent needs, the instructor ensures students graduate with the technical competencies and industry awareness necessary to pursue high-demand careers in advanced manufacturing, construction, welding and related fields. 

    In addition to teaching responsibilities, the instructor will serve as the welding program's SkillsUSA Advisor, mentoring students in leadership development and overseeing participation in meetings, service projects, and local/state/national competitive events that reinforce technical skill growth and workplace readiness. 


    Qualifications:
     
    Credential:     Applicants must possess (or be eligible for) certification in Welding through the Georgia Professional Standards Commission or possess industry-recognized certifications, and meet the Professional Qualifications for the position.
    Education:      Bachelor's degree preferred but not required, including all courses to meet credential requirements.
    Experience:    Student teaching, internship, or full-time teaching experience or industry experience in lieu of traditional teaching experience.
