Viewpoint School is currently seeking a Director of World-Ready Teaching and Learning. The Director of World-Ready Teaching and Learning serves as the primary steward of faculty excellence, instructional coherence, and mission-focused student programming. This role partners with faculty to foster a TK-12 pedagogical approach that is research-informed, aligned, inclusive, and designed to prepare students for a rapidly changing global landscape. This role fosters a culture of continuous professional growth, reflective practice, and instructional excellence. The Director of World-Ready Teaching and Learning serves as a member of the Senior Administrative Team.

Primary Functions & Strategic Responsibilities:
Instructional Leadership & Faculty Growth
- Develop and support a culture of instructional coaching, classroom observation, reflective practice, and timely feedback in partnership with division leaders and department chairs
- Partner with faculty, department chairs, and school leaders to strengthen instructional quality across divisions
- Lead the development and use of evidence-based systems for assessing instructional impact, student learning, and professional growth
- Foster a culture of continuous professional evolution grounded in collaboration, reflection, and shared responsibility for student learning
Professional Learning Systems
- Design, support, and lead professional learning opportunities throughout the school, including Professional Learning Communities, the iGrant Program, and New Faculty Orientation and Onboarding
- Support Department Chairs and School Leaders in identifying professional learning needs and enhancing instructional practice
- Collaborate with school leaders to support, design, and iterate parent education initiatives
- Align professional learning experiences with school priorities, faculty needs, research-informed practice, and student learning goals
Curricular and Pedagogical Alignment
- Play a leadership role on the Educational Council, supporting TK-12 vertical alignment
- Lead or support regular curriculum review cycles, including curriculum documentation, assessment alignment, instructional materials review, and cross-divisional coherence in scope, sequence, rigor, and student experience
- Direct cross-divisional alignment initiatives to ensure a successful academic journey throughout the School
- Support the development of shared pedagogical language, expectations, and practices across grade levels and disciplines
- Use evidence and feedback to support ongoing curriculum refinement and instructional improvement
Educational Technology
- Support faculty in the intentional, ethical, and developmentally appropriate use of educational technology and generative AI to elevate teaching and learning
- Help ensure that technology integration aligns with research-informed pedagogy, student learning goals, and the School’s broader educational vision
Student Support, Differentiation & Inclusive Practice
- Serve as a resource for differentiated instruction, neurodiversity, and support for diverse learning profiles
- Advance inclusive teaching practices that support belonging, community, and high expectations for all learners
- Promote instructional practices that balance academic excellence with student well-being, agency, and growth
World-Ready Programming & Strategic Initiatives
- Serve as coordinator for the Global, STEM, and Literary Scholars Programs
- Work closely with College Counseling on the CareerPoint Program
- Serve as a leader in World Ready Week teacher and student preparation
- Continuously evaluate and iterate “World-Ready” program initiatives
Compensation: Anticipated compensation is $125,000-$160,000, depending on experience.
