As a Social Media Intern, you will join the Higher Education marketing team to support the creation, scheduling, and publishing of engaging content across our student, instructor, and campus administrator-facing social media channels. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will gain hands-on experience in digital content creation, community engagement, and brand storytelling, while contributing to broader marketing strategies.

This internship is an exciting opportunity to gain real-world experience in digital marketing, including social media management, content creation, and performance reporting. Additionally, you’ll have the chance to work with tools like Adobe Express and gain insights into audience engagement strategies. At the end of the internship, you’ll complete a capstone project that showcases your contributions and growth. This experience will not only bolster your resume but also expand your professional network in a meaningful way!
This is a 10-week fully remote summer internship from June 8th – August 21st. Candidates need to currently be pursuing a degree within the United States.
What You’ll Do:
• Create, schedule, and publish content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
• Write platform-appropriate and audience-specific post copy to support the Higher Education content calendar.
• Curate content and copy for the Employee Advocacy internal channel.
• Collaborate with Creative Services to develop engaging assets, including graphics, Reels, short-form videos, and animations.
• Monitor community comments, escalate issues when needed, and contribute to positive, on-brand interactions.
• Conduct research to identify student and instructor insights that inform relevant social content.
• Assist with basic social performance reporting, compiling engagement, reach, and sentiment summaries.
• Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines, tone of voice, and accessibility standards.
What We’re Looking For:
• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program, ideally in Marketing or a related field.
• Experience with LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube; familiarity with Threads and TikTok is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Interest in digital marketing, including social media, web, and digital media strategies.
• Ability to generate insights from analytics.
• Familiarity with Adobe Express is a plus.
• Motivated, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about social media and marketing operations.

The pay range for this position is between $18-$20/hour, however, pay offered may vary depending on degree pursuing, knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
