Tri-County Technical College (TCTC) is seeking collaborative, enthusiastic, and innovative Adjunct Spanish Instructors to join our Arts and Sciences Division. We are looking for dedicated professionals to join a forward-thinking institution that values creativity, collaboration, and excellence. The successful candidate will contribute to a collaborative environment focused on maintaining a robust and dynamic Associate of Arts program.

Position Responsibilities

  • Instruction: Teach introductory and intermediate Spanish courses using systematically planned and delivered instruction.
  • Flexible Delivery: Maintain availability to teach Spanish courses across multiple modalities and settings, including community campuses, dual enrollment in local high schools, and online formats (synchronous and asynchronous).
  • Scheduling: Flexibility for morning and evening classes based on departmental needs.
  • Student Records: Maintain accurate records of student academic progress and attendance.
  • Assessment: Evaluate and support student progress and content mastery through relevant assessment and student feedback.
  • Collaboration: Demonstrate a high level of collegiality and partnership within a highly integrated and supportive divisional structure.

Position Duties

To ensure high standards of academic excellence and credentialing, applicants must possess:

  • A master’s degree in Spanish or a master’s degree in any field with 18 graduate hours in Spanish.
  • Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish and strong English communication skills.
  • Unofficial transcripts must be submitted with the online application; applications without transcripts will not be considered.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Previous teaching experience at the college or community college level.
  • Experience teaching online or hybrid courses.
  • Familiarity with ACTFL proficiency guidelines and communicative language teaching.
  • Experience working with first-generation, dual enrollment, or non-traditional students.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology, including Learning Management Systems such as Blackboard.
