Actuarial Specialist

Ready to launch your career in an environment where your ambition is celebrated and your ideas shape the future? Picture yourself thriving in a dynamic, supportive workplace where innovation is more than a buzzword—it’s our way of life. If you’re passionate about making an impact and eager to grow alongside inspiring colleagues, this is your invitation. Step into a role that challenges, empowers and rewards you!

This full-time hybrid position is based in our Mexico City office, with flexible work options available after initial training. The role supports multiple business areas and a phenomenal opportunity to join a collaborative and high-performing team in our Global Capability Center.

What the day will look like

In the role of Actuarial Specialist within Aon’s Risk Consulting practice, you will support analytical and advisory services. These services help clients understand and lead their risk and insurance programs. You will work alongside premier actuaries and consultants on many projects. These include loss reserving, pricing, forecasting, and self-insurance analysis. You will also build your actuarial expertise and progress toward your professional credentials. The role includes:

  • Deliver high-quality actuarial and analytical support across loss reserving, valuations, ratemaking, forecasting, self‑insurance, cash flow analysis, and data management to support existing and new client engagements
  • Collect, organize, and analyze complex data to support brokerage business, proposals, and client decision‑making, translating technical results into clear, client‑ready insights
  • Prepare accurate, well‑documented analyses, reports, presentations, and client correspondence that meet Aon standards for quality, clarity, and professional appearance
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, project leads, and clients to ensure alignment on scope, priorities, timelines, and timely data collection, while fostering a strong “Aon United” approach
  • Execute client service tasks efficiently by managing multiple priorities, meeting internal and external deadlines, applying established methodologies, and escalating anomalies as appropriate
  • Support innovation, continuous improvement, and professional development by enhancing processes, applying new analytical techniques, leveraging Aon knowledge tools, and meeting utilization targets (85–100%)

You’ll communicate constructively within your team, providing valuable feedback and embracing the same in return. Acting with integrity is non-negotiable here; every day, you’ll make a positive impact on clients, colleagues and the communities we serve.

How this opportunity is different

This goes beyond a standard analytics job—this represents your platform for making a difference and progress. You will contribute to analytical projects like data management, loss forecasting, accruals and self-insurance analysis. You’ll enhance assignment results by improving operational procedures and balancing shifting priorities with flexibility, ensuring the client team’s workload is always supported.

At Aon, growth isn’t just encouraged—it’s expected! You’ll have access to a host of opportunities for developing your personal and professional skills, from online training and Aon courses to seminars and certification programs so you can learn and grow.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

We’re looking for more than just a résumé. We want someone with a passion for excellence and a drive to keep growing. Strong communication skills—both written and oral—will help you thrive. You should be organized, have a deep understanding of basic actuarial concepts and be committed to completing the actuarial exam program (with one to two exams already completed and currently preparing for a CAS exam; we will support you in pursuing this qualification). Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, and Access, is also required. Additionally:

  • Proficiency in English at a B2 level.
  • A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in finance, mathematics, statistics, economics, actuarial science, or a related field.
  • At least three years of relevant work experience
