Job Description

PHASOR Engineering Inc. specializes in power system engineering, design, and the testing and commissioning of medium to high voltage electrical facilities. Based in Alberta with projects across Canada, we are committed to delivering efficient, cost-effective solutions from early-stage engineering through final startup.

We are expanding our presence in British Columbia and are hiring a P&C Commissioning Specialist for a full-time, field based position. This role involves working extended rotational shifts out of town and offers the chance to contribute across a wide variety of commissioning projects. The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator and meticulous problem solver who is energized by technically demanding fieldwork.

Your Role Will Include:

•       Leading testing and commissioning activities for MV/HV protection and control systems serving utility, power generation, and industrial clients.

•       Performing secondary injection testing of microprocessor relays and IEDs with equipment such as the Omicron CMC356 and CMC500.

•       Testing and validating SCADA point configurations.

•       Interpreting engineering drawings and diagnosing technical issues in real time.

•       Documenting findings and preparing commissioning reports for client review.

•       Assisting in the development of startup procedures and field work instructions.

•       Adhering to all corporate, client, and industry safety requirements.

•       Engaging directly with clients on technical inquiries and resolution of field issues.

Schedule & Logistics:

Field rotations are typically structured as 8/6, 10/4, or 14/7 shifts. A standard workday runs from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (10 hours). Project demands may require schedule adjustments, so adaptability is a must.

Background checks and Drug and Alcohol Pre-Access Testing are conditions of employment.

Phasor Engineering Inc. provides competitive pay, a full benefits package, and meaningful career advancement opportunities. We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Salary Range: $164,500 to $224,500 (actual yearly earnings may vary based on qualifications, relevant experience, and market conditions).
