    PRIMARY PURPOSE:

    Teach elementary gifted and talented students with appropriate activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, and social growth.  Enable these students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
     
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Education/Certification:

    • Bachelor's degree from accredited university
    • Valid Texas teaching certificate, with required endorsements for subject/level assigned

     
    Special Knowledge/Skills:

    • Knowledge of gifted and talented strategies/programming
    • General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
