    Job Title: Middle School/High School Musical Director
    Production Season: Spring Semester
    Reports To: Activities Director / Building Principal
    Collaborates With: Assistant Director, Auditorium Technicians, and school staff

    Position Summary:
    We are seeking a passionate and organized Musical Director to lead our middle school and high school spring musical production. This role is responsible for overseeing all artistic and logistical elements of the show, ensuring a successful and educational experience for students. The Musical Director will work closely with the Assistant Director and other staff to bring the production to life.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Direct and manage all aspects of the spring musical production.
    • Collaborate with the Assistant Director on casting, rehearsals, and production planning.
    • Supervise and coordinate set building, including working with students, volunteers, and technical staff.
    • Handle all ordering and organizing of materials related to the production, including scripts, costumes, props, and set supplies.
    • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff to ensure clarity around schedules, expectations, and needs.
    • Foster an inclusive and supportive environment for student performers and crew.
    • Ensure adherence to production timelines and budget.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience directing or assisting in musical theatre productions (preferably at the middle or high school level).
    • Strong organizational and communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and delegate tasks effectively.
    • Basic understanding of set design, lighting, sound, and costumes is a plus.
    • Passion for theatre arts and student development.
