Position Purpose: Coordinate the initial training programs for newly hired Professional Services Embryologist as well as PwPs. Assist the IVF TOGU Professor with training of newly hired IVF Embryologists. Ensure teams are consistent in results, equipment, and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and execute a formalized training program for core competencies & basic skill sets for PS embryologists. Coordinates a training plan and follows through with new team members. Conducts advanced training for on farm skill sets associated with the PSE position.
Collaborates with the TOGU PSE Professor in MD on the best course of action for training PS embryologists. Works together to further develop curriculum and training plans.
Assist vet professor in training of external clients in skills related to the IVF process and embryo transfer.
Assist IVF professor with training IVF embryologists in the areas of embryo evaluation, freezing, stripping, and fertilization.
Equip those in-training with the resources, scientific knowledge, and up-to-date equipment necessary for them to perform with excellence.
Coordinate and execute formalized training for new PWP teams and support the current PWPs in the Trans Ova system
Functions as a Professional Services Embryologist in roles associated with the collection, evaluation, freezing, and storage of the conventionally and IVF produced embryos in accordance to IETS and Trans Ova Genetics protocols. This will ensure a continued understanding of PSE team needs.
Travel as needed to train in the field (10-20%)
Support PS team members with excellence so that they will learn from example and support clients with excellence.
Provide for and support communication opportunities for PS team members across regions.
Communicates openly and honestly with team members and supervisor.
Follows Trans Ova’s policies and procedures and supports its core values.
Maintains a professional image reflective of Trans Ova’s brand and industry position.
Education Requirements:
Minimum A.S. in Animal Science or Biology, B.S. preferred
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to sit for long periods of time.
Other skills/experience:
>2 years of previous experience performing embryology lab procedures.
Excellent organizational skills and a passion for teaching others and helping them win in their roles.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and various departments.
Highly attentive to detail.
